Michael Smith grew up in Gananoque. He has always been interested in the field of Carpentry and grew up watching “This Old house”. He did an apprentice program in the renovation of Heritage buildings as a teenager. From that point he knew that carpentry was his career path.
Michael met his future wife in Kingston. Her placement at the CHEO hospital pulled Michael to further his career in the Ottawa area. He is now married for 12yrs and has twin 6yr old boys. A lot of Michael’s spare time is filled with building the boys a play fort or coaching the boy’s hockey team. He also enjoys renovating their farm house.

Michael’s ambitions are to continue growing and enhancing his skills as a Lead carpenter. Lead carpenter is the perfect fit for Michael because he enjoys leading and overseeing the project but he also enjoys wearing his tool belt and helping his team.
