The middle of five children, John grew up in Aylmer, Quebec and has been accurately described as a multi-talented person. From high school he has pursued multiple interests including model building, woodworking and electronics, enhancing his natural ability to be focused and detail-oriented.  He successfully completed his electronics diploma with honours. Pursuing his interest in computers, John later became certified as a computer technician (A+) and network technician (Network+). John is an accomplished computer user familiar with many different types of software.  

However, it was his love of woodworking that motivated John to pursue a career in the Ottawa construction industry.  Initially, John accepted a job as a carpenter’s helper in the fire and flood restoration sector, and later established himself as a self-employed carpenter. He maintains a fully-equipped workshop at his home where he continues to refine his woodworking skills. 
John eventually made the choice to offer his increasing skills to established and reputable construction companies. John was attracted to The Conscious Builder because of their commitment to energy-wise construction and their focus on developing and maintaining a skilled and professional team. 
John also enjoys music and is currently studying advanced music theory to enhance his skill with drums, acoustic and electric guitars. He is very happily married with four grown children.
