Carly grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, ON and though she's lived in Ottawa longer than anywhere else, Northern Ontario will always have a special place in her heart. The self reliant "get it done" attitude of the north and a desire to work with her hands brought her to the construction industry. She is very proud to now call Vanier home, where she lives with her girlfriend and enjoys bike rides all over the city and volunteering for the Ottawa Tool Library. If given the chance, she would love to talk your ear off on how best to go about repairing everyday household items rather than throwing them out, and sharing general tool knowledge for beginners to feel more confident in their ability to DIY.
