In the spring of 1999, Heather answered a help wanted ad in the Port Hope Evening Guide for a “carpenters helper”. (Yep, that’s how it worked back then, kids!) That was the beginning of a journey that took her through the heritage homes of Port Hope, Oakville’s backyard architecture, Toronto’s film and television sets, west end century homes, commercial storefront installations, Fort McMurray’s Wood Buffalo Recreational Complex, Lanark County’s cottages; new and natural home builds, and now to Ottawa with TCB. Her first boss Carl, told her if she was smart she would be anything else but a carpenter. (Hey Carl, what’s up?)
